Back to normal
Hi all,
I had some issues here with my internet service the last 4 days. It was bad.... no ts and no multiplayer, just minimum stuff working online. It was like having dial-up again. The cable guy was here today and its now up and running. 95mbps dl and 10mbps ul. It appears that Shaw has some issues in the area with some sort of bridging/tunneling software and they are working on it. That tells me it may crash again without warning, but he says they should have it sorted by the end of the week. I'm hoping to hook up with someone soon to go for a flight/tutorial, I'm progressing slowly. Its like watching grass grow.

That's too bad. Not sure If you've seen the "internet" episode from the South Park, but they had a similar issue. Their internet died.
The solution was to unplug and re-plug the modem LOL

Ya, I think I saw that one, they worked on all the complex ideas first, then did the restart lol. From what I gather here my isp has done some fiber upgrades in this area and the cisco modems they use are not playing nicely with the new system.
1 small step forward for the cable company, 1 step backward for mankind.

Re: Back to normal
I was thinking a trac ir...lol.
I am actually waiting for a tech to arrive here now. I don't have much hope for today though, I've talked to a few neighbors and they are in the same boat, waiting for repairs to happen. Don't believe everything your isp tells you, every rep I have talked to in the last week has told me a different story. Except for the 2 guys from the cable company I met at timmies this week, their stories matched lol. I'll go with their version for now.
Ty for the skin instructions too.
