WTF, I just typed this entire new post and it got wiped out. FORK!!!! Embarassed

Here I go again.

I altered the Northern Strike save0.cam file, my reduced objects IT-BMS file that I issued to you guys to push back some of the Syrian Squadrons appearance at the beginning of the campaign. I changed their entry times to reinforcements of 8-12-14-18-24hrs so there's no longer a WALL of Planes.

Of course Israel should always have the advantage as they are most prepared and equipped in the region. Which is true to this day.

At the beginning of the campaign there are 15 Israeli Squadrons active and 10 Syrian Squadrons active.

Here is the breakdown:

Israel:

15 Squadrons

1 - F16I - Ramon AB
3 - F16ICFT - RamonAB/Ovda AB/Hatzerim AB
2 - F15C - Tel Nof AB
1 - F15I - Hatzerim AB
2 - F16C30I - Ben Gurion AB/Ramat David AB
3 - F16D40I - Ramat David AB/Hatzor(2)
3 - F16A15 - Ovda AB/Nevatim AB(2)

Syria:

10 Squadrons

1 - SU27 - Palmyra AB
1 - SU17(Attack) - Wujah Al Hajar AB
1 - SU24M(Attack) - Tiyas AB
1 - MIG25 - Dumyar AB
1 - MIG29A - Sayqal AB
2 - MIG23ML - An Nasariyah AB/Meeze AB
3 - MIG21MF/PFM - Kalhalhak AB(2)/Beirut(really shouldn't be there as it's not realistic, but I didn't make the units in the cam file and I'll mull over whether to move it in the future).

At 8hrs into the campaign file, the first reinforcement to show up for Syria is a Squadron of MIG29A's out of Sayqal AB at 8 hrs.

I did not alter or list here the Heli Squads or the Auxillary aircraft so they are unaffected.

Fly it if you like. It's a little less congested, even though the original file was challenging as Harlequin said, I believe it was too unrealistic even in today's world. Syria would not be able to put up that much resistance at the beginning of an outbreak.

The file is named "6-11_IT Northern_Strike_save0.rar" and it is in the Israeli Theater Operations channel file browser.

(That was painful having to type it twice..... Sad )

LOL!! Smile

Thanks man! Tyox and i were just talking about this sort of thing last night. His campaign is on Day 2 and there is NO syrian resistance to speak of (except for the odd SA-8 or SA-13 if you get too low... right ty?? Smile). Some variation in the resupply would be welcome.

It's too bad that this campaign dies off so early. The start is so much fun, but then... meh.

[Just realized that i responded within, like 5 minutes of you posting this. Honestly, i'm not sitting here all day waiting for posts while i'm at work. I just happened to check in... hehe]

Well, I can solve some of that. Red, or Syria is short on Power Plants and Factories, that's the biggest issue with one side stalling out as the repair times take longer due to the shortage.

We should fly this and see what happens.

On another note, I spoke with MysticMagic today. As far as I'm concerned we should as a Squadron go fly with him on his PvP campaign. We had a good talk.

Lemme know how you want to proceed, we can mess around with this campaign file when we like. I've already done a couple SP flights.

EDIT: HAHA, I accidentally edited your post, so you now see that caption at the bottom of your post. DOH, so then I fixed it all, freaking MORON I am!!!! Twisted Evil

You just reminded me of another oddity that Ty and i found last night: There are 0 factories, power plants, ammo dumps... etc. functioning in syria, yet their supply bar on the intel screen is still at max. ??? Odd. Something isn't right...

Why you editing my post? Nefarious bastard!! Northern Stike - IT BMS Save0.cam(My work) 235134252

What are you talking about Gomer. Did you check the OOB?

Here's the breakdown:

Syria

16 Airbases
6 Chemical Plants
7 Depots
12 Factories
6 Headquarters
5 Ports
6 Power Plants
11 Radar Stations
3 Refineries

Israel

11 Airbases
7 Chemical Plants
14 Depots
48 Shocked Factories
5 Headquarters
8 Ports
7 Power Plants
6 Radar Stations
7 Refinerise
2 Nuclear Power Plants

So in a nutshell it easy to see why Syria would have a supply issue as far as Power and War Production. It is supporting more airbases then Israel and has less Power Plants(not to mention no Nuc Plants) and a quarter of the amount of factories.

The only thing Israel has less of is HQ's and Radar Stations, but those do not produce "Data", which is power or supply basically.

Now, although this is my file, I did not do the original work. I added stuff as I saw fit for FF ITO2. I did not need to add additional stuff for Syria due to the fact, those were historical campaigns in FF and the Syrians weren't flying a crap load of stuff out of a lot of airbases so all was good.

But with this OOB as far as units go and airbase use, it's a whole nother animal. Got to get to work on it.

Yeah, that's fucked. What I meant, however, is that all the syrian war production has been destroyed yet there isn't a reduction in the supply bar on the intel screen.

IT needs a fictional campaign where the opposition stands a chance. Maybe egypt is better opposition but that campaign isn't "polished" apparently.

No, the Egypt deal is Fubar.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Intel bar stuff in BMS was never touched/fixed.

Also, I said Gomer cause you sort of look like him, hahahaha Laughing J/K
